Want to know more about “Wild Swimming” (that’s rivers AND lakes, not naked swimming)?
Now’s your chance with individual areas/pages for:
- “New Swim Spots” as it says, new swim spots ie ones I’ve not been to before this (or possibly last year)
- “The Bare Necessities” not as it sounds, the basics of “wild” swimming
- “Swimming with history” as it says, but surprisingly few opportunities
- and, of course……….
- The “Ultimate Wild Swimming Gazetteer” (divided into England, Wales, Scotland and the rest of the world).
Durdle Door is a sea arch near Lulworth, Dorset. Its one of those iconic landscape features and, even better, you can swim through it. The latter is known as Swim the Door (or its well known acronym STD). Some people do this once a year at a gathering in June. Some people do it more than once a year! Find out about some of these people via the following pages: Veterans, Artwork
Auto-timer top tips, Auto-timer awards (year by year) and, of course, self-photography (apparently known as selfies to some)
A misc collection of things that are, well, important to me and maybe even some others?
Dance “tips”, Glenn Miller, Festivals, Mark “the priest”, Wombles etc
