The One and Only "Wild" Swimmers International Gazetteer
This gazetteer has been up and running on the internet since 1958. Well, ok thats the date of the above photo (ish). Its a collection of information, many with photographs, of my "best" or "favourite" swimming places. Its got so large that I've had to divide it into separate pages for England and Non-England.

The Bare Necessities of "Wild" Swimming
WHY, WHY, WHY. WHY, WHY, WHY.WHY, WHY, WHY.WHY, WHY, WHY.Can you swim in the sea (and god forbid be swept away to all that lovely wine and cheese in France), but not in rivers and lakes. Some people even think it is illegal, others try to make it illegal. But what can be more natural than "dropping in" to your local river or lake. This page will give you the "Bare Necessities of Wild Swimming" (you will be pleased to know that nudity is not included). However, it does give you a glimpse, amongst other things, of all those silly signs saying "No Swimming" that you need to ignore.

Mark "The Priest" RIP
My good friend Mark passed away on Thursday 2nd April 2009. It is impossible to put into to words what I think about his death so althouth inadequate I thought I would offer a small tribute to Mark in the form of a collection of photos.

Gezaulole Village Orphanage, Tanzania, East Africa
Mark "The Priest" and his wife Tahira started a joint Muslim-Christian orphanage project in Tanzania six years ago which we all hope can be completed as soon as possible in his memory.
