The dates for this years Swim the Door (Dorset and Abroad) have been announced.
I’ve just uploaded what photos I can in-between non-stop footy on the TV. Some are taken by me, but many by others (Heidi, Mark, Sandra & Rebecca to name just a few- too complicated to acknowledge each photo but thanks for sending them to me)
A reconnaissance trip has been undertaken to Durdle Door in advance of the “big weekend”. Therefore, it can be confirmed that A. The Door is still standing, B. There is still plenty of room on the beach, C. The coastguard appears to have a new boat, D. The sea is definitely warmer than last year…………….
Huge thanks to everyone who attended this years Swim the Door. I had a great time and hope that you all did too. I’ve started updating the STD15 page and will continue to do so over the next week.
By the time you read this I will have set off for the door. I can already tell that “the sea water is warming than last year”!!! Looking forward to seeing you all there.
Hi, I’ve put a few more details for STD15 on the relevant website page. Plenty of people attending (some regulars, some not). Plenty of room in the sea for more and would be great to see you there.
Details of this years STD(s) have now been uploaded to the relevant web page! It is a “significant” (number) year for me so it would be great if lots of people came down to say hello. You won’t be forced to swim (although for “no good reason” we are trying to get fifty people!!)
Huge thanks to everyone who attended Swim The Door 2013 and make my special day at a special place special. We were “owed” good weather and finally got it. I’m sure everyone who was there will agree that It was definitely warmer than last year……………………(I think I may have mistakenly heard someone say that this did not apply to the sea water!!)
Sssh. Don’t mention the weather…………………………..
Hi. Details for STD13 have been finalised and it is with great pleasure that due to huge public demand we can announce extra days have been added to the beginning (thanks Jono) and end (thanks Helen n Mark). Come join us. The water will be just as inviting as ever……………..
